Qiyam al-Lail (also known as the Night Prayer) refers to the practice of offering voluntary prayers during the night. It holds a special place in Islamic spirituality, often associated with deep worship, reflection, and supplication. The term "Qiyam" itself means standing, and when referring to Qiyam al-Lail, it signifies standing in prayer during the night, seeking closeness to Allah.
The Significance of Qiyam al-Lail
Spiritual Elevation: The night is considered a time of special spiritual grace and mercy from Allah. It is a time when the heart is more focused and the distractions of the world are minimized, which allows for a deeper connection to Allah.
