Join Us for Latino Muslim Day!
Come celebrate the vibrant and growing community of Latino Muslims at our annual Latino Muslim Day! This event is a wonderful opportunity to recognize the contributions and presence of Latino Muslims in the Lehigh Valley and across the nation.
You won't want to miss this exciting day filled with inspiring talks, live entertainment, and delicious food. We've also planned a dedicated program for youth and a special sisters' program.
We're so honored to have an incredible lineup of guest speakers this year:
Hazel Gomez (Detroit): An activist and dedicated student of knowledge currently studying with Rabata and Bayan Claremont.
Jaime Mujahid Fletcher and Abdul Rahman Vega (Houston): Founders of IslamInSpanish, an organization that has served the global Spanish-speaking community for over two decades. It has produced over 500 audiobooks and established El Centro Islamico in Houston.
Amina Rodriguez (Atlanta): Educator and founder of the Instituto Latino Americano de la Mujer Musulmana.
Wilfredo Amr Ruiz (Florida): A lawyer, chaplain, and Communications Director for CAIR Florida.
Yusuf Rios (Pennsylvania): Yusuf Rios is an Islamic scholar, dedicated teacher, and co-founder of the 3 Puerto Rican Imams. Established in 2017 after Hurricane Maria, the organization has provided relief aid to many countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as to local communities in North America.
Tim and Omar bin Victor (New York): Representatives of MAS Reverts Reconnect under the leadership of Imam Wesley Lebron.
We'll also have a parallel youth program with fun activities, and babysitting will be available.
